Experience Prep at Woodford
Starting Prep is an exciting milestone for children and families. Our Prep Transition Program helps children feel confident, connected and ready for their first year of school by giving them opportunities to become familiar with our classrooms, teachers, routines and learning environment.
Through play-based and hands-on experiences, children begin developing important early literacy, numeracy, communication and social skills. They can form friendships with other future Prep students, practise everyday school routines and build the independence they need to participate successfully in classroom learning.
Prep Transition also provides families with an opportunity to meet our staff, connect with other parents and learn more about The Woodford Way. By working in partnership with families from the beginning, we can support every child's learning, wellbeing and successful transition to school.
